LAIYA BEACH
About 2 1/2 hour drive from Manila. A long stretch of sandy beach with numerous resorts from budget-friendly to luxury.
10 years ago, when I first visited this beach, I remember having the best time with a bunch of friends, where there were only maybe a couple of small resorts around at that time. Now, it is lined with many resorts along the long stretch of the beach.
SAN JUAN CHURCH
Do a quick stop at the San Juan Nepomuceno Church on the way to Laiya beach. Built in 1890. It is most noted as the church venue for the wedding of the celebrity couple, Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos.

-Continued on STAR Tollways
-Exited Tambo
-Turned right and drove towards Lipa City
-At Lipa City, turned right at Mc Donald’s
-Traversed C.M. Recto Ave.
-Turned right at the corner of the Mercury Drug store. This is P. Torres St.
-Drove 8.5 kms. towards Padre Garcia town
-Left turned at the road sign pointing to Padre Garcia.
-Turned right after passing the Padre Garcia town market.
-Drove 4.5 kms. and merged with the road coming from Rosario.
-Drove all the way to San Juan approximately 19 kms.
-At San Juan town proper, headed for the Municipal Hall
-Turned right immediately after the Municipal Hall of San Juan.
-Drove approximately 22 kms. (20 minutes) to Laiya
