DEATH POOL & CABONGAOAN BEACH, BURGOS

We included Death Pool on our Pangasinan trip.

Death Pool and Cabongaoan Beach are one of the same. They're adjacent to each another. Located in Burgos, Pangasinan. Approximately 30 minutes drive from the town center.

DEATH POOL
The overnight sensation of the now famous Death Pool in Burgos put this sleepy town on the map. It is a natural rock formations carved out by the incessant strong splashes of the sea tides over a long period of time.

These open pit holes do look scary and probably even dangerous, hence the name death pool.

But despite its eerie appearance, people dive in it. And it is not as dangerous as it appears when it's not at it's strongest tides.

The sea tides go beneath this natural platform. It burst up through the hole and the water spill over the platform. It gives you the illusion of danger and excitements.

Yes, the water can get very rough and poses danger.

CABONGAOAN BEACH
A big rock boulder separates the Death Pool and Cabongaoan beach.

A beautiful beach with soft yellow-orange sand where you can rent a picnic hut from the many rural resorts along the beach. It's quite a long stretch of a beach, great for a long walk.

The resort we went has not established a name yet. The table rent was only P200. Parking was P50.

Sometimes, the resort will cook food for their guests but not all the time. Luckily, we brought our own food and snacks that day.
